Yes And Co. is a Cape Town-based non-profit organisation that runs shows, classes, and drop-in events. We want to build a great and vibrant improv community where our focus is simply on having fun, laughing, being silly, and letting go of daily ambitions and worry.

why we play

Our Story

In a world obsessed with goals, productivity, and getting things "right," improv is a radical sanctuary. We didn't start Yes And Co. to train movie stars or teach networking tips. We started it because Cape Town needed a room where adults could simply play.

Longform improv is about making up scenes from scratch, together. It requires deep listening, accepting whatever offer your partner gives you, and saying "yes, and" to build something completely unexpected.

Because there is no script, there are no mistakes. Every unexpected twist is just another gift. When you step onto our stage, you get to drop your ambitions, silence your inner critic, and remember the simple joy of laughing at nothing at all.

Owner, Teacher & Performer

Henri fell in love with longform improv three years ago and has been performing regularly ever since. Driven by a deep passion for the craft, he loves both the in-depth technique and the complete, liberating freeness of playing on stage.
